1913
Construction of the largest paper machine for newsprint, with a wire width of 5.20 meters, for Holmes Bruks in Hallstavik, Sweden.

1917
50th anniversary, to date 6 000 water turbines, 200 paper machines and 100 pocket grinders have been constructed.

1922
The Kaplan turbine, invented by Professor Viktor Kaplan, is for the first time constructed with 1 100 HP. It is mainly used in power plants located on rivers because it can reach a high economic efficiencies at low heads and low water supply.
Beginning of gear unit manufactoring. A wealth of experience is available due to the long history of designing paper machines and water wheels whose drive depended on gear wheels.

1922
The "Voith wave" becomes the official company logo. It is designed by Professor Hohlwein.
Completion of of the first continuous grinder which speeds the production of wood pulp.

1926
Beginning of the development of the Voith-Schneider-Propeller according to designs of Viennese engineer Ernst Schneider. The ship propulsion and steering system that allows for incredible maneuverability. its applications were used in tugs, floating cranes, double-ended ferries and passenger vessels.

1927
Voith designs his own continuous grinder the delivery of the 10 000th Voith turbine with 48 500 HP for the pumped storage power plant Herdecke in Westfalia.
Building of Voith's own school to train apprentices and interns, and the foundation of a company libary.

1928
First thrust vessel "Uhu" utilizing a Voith-Schneider-Propeller is launched.

1929
Construction of the Voith large turbine hall in Heidenheim with largest vertical lathe of the world.
Construction of the first Turbo coupling.

1930
Beginning of the development of axial-flow fans and turbo transmissions based on the Foettinger principle.

1932
First Voith fan for a wind tunnel.

1934
The first Voith Turbo Transmission for a dieselhydraulic rail bus is supplied to Austrian Federal Railways.
First Voith Turbo Transmission for an off-road vehicle.

1942
75th anniversary: To date 570 paper machines, 2 000 wood grinders and 12 700 water turbines have been built.
